The National Lampoon Radio Hour

Before Saturday Night Live and before National Lampoon’s Vacation – there was The National Lampoon Radio Hour.  I remember one episode where a man is requesting a racy bra design to purchase for his wife.  Nothing was cut, nothing was censored, and there were no beeps.  I remember trying to figure out which voices belonged to John Belushi, Gilda Radner, or Bill Murray – all of whom were on the show.  I’ve never forgotten that experience.  There were 52 episodes recorded between 1973-74, and I recently discovered where I could hear them again – radioechoes.com.
