Two weekends ago Jenny and I drove to Joplin to celebrate October birthdays for my Mom, my brother-in-law, and two of my nieces. My sister Darla (we social distanced by bumping “butts” instead of elbows) hosted the whole shebang. We carved pumpkins, drank alcohol, ate brisket, opened presents, and then we went for a walk in the woods. It was great to see everybody. Sara (the one niece who doesn’t have a birthday in October) showed us her hammock, and insists that it’s more comfortable than the bed she used to sleep in.

Now that’s a blog post! You and Darla are so crazy but so much fun. We did have a great time. We had a big limb break but thankfully just missed the house. 27 degrees here his morning with frost on the pumpkins and ice in the trees. Got that party in just in time!
Looks like you guys had a great time! I know this is like a broken record, but wish we could’ve been there. Tell Sara she, despite the ‘beatings’, looks like she’s having a great time too.
