Moon Eye Cycle Questions

eyeballmoonhelmetcycleRodney felt safe because he had a helmet, but he had no idea how he was going to keep his balance on the motorcycle. How would he accelerate or steer or change gears?  These were valid questions for someone born without a body.  He was glad the motorcycle’s headlight was dimmed since he also lacked a tinted visor.

When Worlds Kaleidoscope

startrekpasturedinerSpace… it was the final frontier until artificial intelligence (AI) made it possible to mash up Star Trek, a diner, and cows… I wonder what it would look like if I included Batman and Ghandi… let’s see…

Incoming Dad Joke–

ODDJOBI hired a handyman & gave him a to-do list…

Here Comes the Past

70s dreamThe TV stand, the ochre shades, the dim lighting– how did the past catch up to me?  I’ve either fallen asleep watching old MTV videos, or I’ve scrolled across someone’s AI creation online.  Oh yeah, a little ubiquitous thing called the internet makes time travel not only possible, but addictive if taken in too many doses… now I’m hungry for Doritos.  *sigh*

The Latest Trajectory

chicanoLast weekend I started constructing the 5th episode of Audio Flare Gun.  At the onset, all I knew for sure was that I wanted to piece some weird songs & sounds together from various artists.  I didn’t know if there would be a theme, direction, or method to the madness.  The first two contributors sent some great earthy material.  I’m still not sure where this show will land, but it definitely has a trajectory now.  There are some dots that I can connect to flesh out a sound constellation… stay tuned!

Honor The Groove

sharper needle record pic“Everybody is doing the best that they can, the best that is possible, the best that they know.”  This thought returns to me like a boomerang when someone is behaving in a way that I don’t think is best.  Just because I think something isn’t the way it’s supposed to be, doesn’t mean that’s the way it is– it (reality) is playing out like a vinyl record.  It has grooves that were made a long time before I showed up.

Department Store History

Molly played this for me years ago.  I still get a kick out of it.  If you hear it in your local thrift store, don’t be surprised if someone is attempting to recreate department store history.

French Space Disco

magic flyI feel like I unearthed something that is familiar yet out of this world — Space was a French band that released Magic Fly in 1977 as a foray into the Space Disco genre.  In all fairness, Stuck in the 80′s did the digging, I just listened to their discovery this week on episode 732 about #2 songs in 1977.  The title track from Magic Fly peaked at #2 in the UK and was kept out of the #1 spot by Elvis’ last single, Way Down.  If you’re still reading this and you want to see & hear the glorious sounds of French Space Disco, check out this video from 1977.

ASAP Reimagined

ASAP reimaginedIt will take time, patience, practice, and faith — but this interpretation of ASAP is something I can ponder, integrate, absorb, and secrete.

World Keeps Turning

WORLDRegardless of disappointments, unmet expectations, misunderstandings, and any other host of events that are followed by frustration and anger– the world keeps turning, I keep growing, and learning, and a loving higher power continues to come into focus, even if the world feels blocky and pixelated.
