One Good Smash Deserves Another

double smashIntrusive, violent, and hysterical– I can’t explain it.  There’s just something about smashing someone else’s instrument that is both jarring and funny.  I was watching this scene in Star Trek that was a call back to this scene in Animal House, and it cracked me up.  And as I was making this post it also reminded me of this scene in Freaks and Geeks.

    First and second scene funny, last
    scene cruel. Clip ended before I got to
    see the guitar player smash the smasher.
    Now that wouldn’t be necessarily funny but
    it would be justice and make me smile.

      I wondered if you would have misgivings about that last one, Mom. I have that episode on a DVD, we can watch it sometime so you can have a better perspective. Glad you laughed at the first 2.

    Ah, finally I see the first comment I posted.
    Someday we’ll watch the whole movie!
