The Day After Groundhog Day

groundhogdaycafeIf you’re reading this then it’s actually February 3rd and we can all get on with our lives. In real life Groundhog Day doesn’t repeat in a Mobius loop (like it did in the movie), but that doesn’t stop me from being paranoid of having permanent deja vu when February comes around. I’m ok, I’m ok. I don’t have to live like there’s no tomorrow because it’s… today!

  1. according to the MO Conservationist magazine, “if the groundhog sees its shadow, we’ll have 6 more weeks of winter. No shadow means an early spring. That doesn’t make sense to me. 2/2/21 was a beautiful day in joplin, mo with full sunshine and warmth. So it seems that would indicate an early spring. Darla tells me I’m forgetting the fear factor! :)

  2. We don’t need no stinkin’ groundhog around here to tell us it’s going to be hot. If there’s any groundhogs here and they’re smart, they stay underground all year.
