My Favorite Life Detective

jonathaneveryone that i know has one memory they will never forget. if you could revisit a moment that defines you now… would you do it? heavyweight is a podcast hosted by  jonathan goldstein that explores those moments. so far there are 21 stories that range from Sven who regrets his jury vote that sentenced another man to death, to an abandoned suitcase full of letters that reveal a love story between two people that didn’t stay together. i know those two examples sound like major bummers, but it’s a really good show.

  1. I guess when i thought of those moments, the first were the sad ones. probably because the regret is you can’t go back and change them. but then my reason kicked in and said, ok since I can’t change them it’s on to the most happy moments which is a much better way to start the day. and then it led me to think of the funniest moments, then the most embarrassing moments!

    • yeah! there you go mom! this podcast has both of those, and the host is a pretty insightful guy that helps people see the positive side of things. there is usually a cool twist at the end too, like the story about Ken Carter, a canadian who wanted to be the next Evel Knievel.
